I am a script and development consultant for film and television based in Edinburgh, Scotland. I have 30 years of screen industry and academic experience gained through having worked on a diverse range of film and television productions as well as on university degree courses.
My career to date has evolved via a variety of industry roles, including that of story/script editor, development consultant, producer, academic tutor at Edinburgh College of Art (The University of Edinburgh) and Edinburgh Napier University, and executive positions (development and production) at Scottish Screen/Creative Scotland. As a result, I have particularly valuable insight into the creative process of preparing projects to attract development and production finance, since I’ve been in a position to award, as well as receive, commissions and funding.
I have advised and supported writers, writer/directors and producers – both emerging and established – across feature films, children’s television, documentaries, animations and short films.
